Great technique to let you fall asleep in one minute: 4-7-8 method

This method is called ‘4-7-8 method’ . You have 3 steps to do:

1. Breathe calmly from your nose for 4 seconds.
2. Hold your breath for 7 seconds.
3. Gently breathe in for 8 seconds.

Repeat the above steps 3-4 times, respectively. It’s really simple. It may sound crazy, but it really works.

How is it working?

When you are stressed and anxious, the amount of adrenaline in your blood increases. You breathe faster. This breathing exercise is a kind of calming task. Deliberately slowing your breath in this way slows your heart’s rhythm and calms you down. In fact, the event is simply a simple physiology. The same exercise also helps to calm your mind by concentrating on your breathing.
